Pasti tar-Rahal

These biscuits known to us as village biscuits or ”Pastini tar-Rahal” are a wonderful little treat. Cinnamon, clove, citrus, and aniseed scented biscuits traditionally they were used to be served at Christenings but made all year round in our bakery. Swirls of pink royal icing are used to top these delightful biscuits.

Ingredients:

Wheat Flour, sugar, eggs, water, icing sugar, aniseed, ground cinnamon,

vanilla, vegetable fats (from margarine), vegetable oil, emulsifiers: mono-diglycerides of fatty acid,

lecithin, preservative: potassium sorbate, acidity regulator: citric acid, aromas, colorings: curcumin, anatto, erythrosine,

raising agents: disodium pyrophosphate, sodium carbonates.
